How to Tie Teagy's Caddis Pupa
Caddis pupa are effective year round and can be very simple to tie. Check out one of Teagan’s favorite caddis patterns to tie and fish.
Tying flies can be as difficult or as simple as you want it to be. When i’m tying nymphs I attempt to tie something that is simple yet effective. That is exactly what I found when I put together this simple caddis pupa. The tungsten Jig Bomb allows this fly to descend to the fish in record time and bounce along the rocks without hang ups. A flashy body and buggy head are a combo that that trout just can’t resist. Next time you hit the Gallatin, Yellowstone, or Madison bring a few of Teagy’s Simple Caddis Pupa along to catch more fish than an angler would expect.
