Missouri River Fishing Report 10/29/2021
4 The Missouri is fishing well even though the flows are a low. The dry fly action consists of BWO hatches at the moment and that has been good in the afternoons until 3pm or so. The bugs have not been excellent but an angler can find fish up here and there. Ensure you have a stealthy presentation to target tricky fish. If trout spey is your thing then swinging soft hackles can be productive on...

4 The Missouri is fishing well even though the flows are a low. The dry fly action consists of BWO hatches at the moment that are productive in the mid afternoon. Ensure you have a stealthy presentation to target tricky fish. If trout spey is your thing then swinging soft hackles can be productive on the MO. Nymphing is a great way to go with the usual tailwater suspects like midges, sowbugs, scuds, and mayfly nymphs....

4 The BWO hatch has started and should be good from 10-12 am but could be good all day if you get some overcast. Fishing a QG BWO or a hi vis BWO with a long light leader should be the ticket. Nymphing will also be productive with BWO nymphs as well as sowbugs/scuds and midges. Streamer fishing has apparently been pretty lights out as well with kleelex and sparkle minnows. Learn how to fish...

4 The Missouri's flows are low, but the fishing is good. It has been mostly a nymphing game here with Zebra Midges, scuds/sowbugs, San Juan worms, small Pheasant Tails, BWO nymphs, Shop Vacs, and black/olive Perdigons. Streamer fishing should be good these next few days with the colder weather and overcast. I would fish a Kreelex, Sparkle Minnow, Olive Peanut Envy, or Black Silk Kitty. BWO's should hatch good this week and that can be a...

4 The Missouri's flows are low, but the fishing is good. Streamer season has arrived to the MO and stripping and swinging streamers is an effective method of catching fish. Try a dungeon in olive, black, or natural, but if the sun is up don't be afraid to try something flashy. A kreelex or sparkle minnow should get the job done. Nymphing is good but watch out for weeds, they are still out in force. Zebra...

4 The Missouri is fishing well, but the fall BWO's have yet to arrive. A few October Caddis have been seen fluttering about, so don't be afraid to tie on a big orange caddis if you would rather prospect with a dry than nymph or streamer fish. The typical nymphing options will be effective, such as scuds, midges, and sowbugs. Streamer fishing and swinging have both been pretty productive. Streamers in white, black, and olive with...
