Headwaters Book Tour Event

Join us June 21st, along with Patagonia Flyfish, Dylan Tomine, and Upper Missouri Waterkeeper for the "Headwaters" book tour event.

There will be a book reading from Dylan, the author of "Headwaters", on-site wader repair, food, drinks, and more! Wader testing begins at 2PM, with doors opening for the book reading at 6PM. We look forward to seeing everyone on the 21st at our Bozeman fly shop!

2PM-4:30PM: Wader testing

5PM-6PM: DIY wader repair demonstration

6PM-8PM: Book tour event with book reading and signing with Dylan Tomine

In Headwaters, his new collection of stories, Dylan Tomine (@dylantomine) explains why he may not be the world’s greatest fishing guide.

“I was frequently impatient. And sarcastic. And irritable. But enough about my good days. I guess I thought guiding was about fish, and it turns out it’s about people. No matter how dumb they might be…. Once, I had two doctors from Houston and a car dealer from Dallas and his wife as my foursome. Guess what happened? I spent an entire week staring at the back of the doctors’ heads, trying to determine if it was possible, through sheer concentration and mental telepathy, to make a person’s head explode. At the time, it seemed like a worthy research project.”

We’re also excited to share that our friends at Upper Missouri Waterkeeper, SW Montana’s river protection non-profit, will be joining the event with a booth. Waterkeeper is on the front lines defending Montana's world-class fisheries and waterways, whether challenging illegal pollution permits for sprawl development that threatens to worsen seasonal algal blooms, working to secure enforceable pollution clean up plans for unhealthy pollution degrading our local streams, or leveraging strong science and the law to stop rollbacks of clean water standards that protect fishable, swimmable, drinkable water. Definitely plan to swing by their booth to learn more about boots-on-the-ground work being done to safeguard our backyard streams and fisheries.
