Hurdle for Pebble Mine

Finally some good news on the conservation front regarding proposed Pebble Mine in Alaska's Bristol Bay.

Just today, the Army Corps of Engineers declared that as is, the proposed mine (Pebble Mine) “would likely result in significant degradation of the environment and would likely result in significant adverse effects on the aquatic system or human environment.”

This is a huge win for conservation and a place that is too special to mine.
