Salmonflies on the Yellowstone
Salmonflies are working their way up the Yellowstone River and big trout have been willing to gulp down these giant bugs from the surface of the river.
The salmonfly action continues on our Bozeman area rivers into late June. This year has been rare because we have been able to fish the big bugs on the Yellowstone. Typically the river is too high and muddy to fish the hatch. Luckily, lower and clear water has resulted in some excellent salmonfly days. Don't miss out on this epic opportunity before the hatch is over!
Keep an eye out up around Carbella where the salmonflies have been spotted sparsely the last few days.
