Spring Creeks Fishing Report 9/22/2021
Current Conditions
PMD's are all but gone, but you might run into fish-eating midges on calmer days, and that is always a good challenge. The psuedos are around and if you like fishing teeny tiny dry flies take a #22 or smaller. If you do end up nymphing, make sure you use flies with little to no weight in order to get a nice light presentation with your long leader. Unweighted pheasant tails, zebra midges, and caddis pupas should get it done. The BWO hatch should show up before too long. It is not a bad idea to have a few emergers, duns and spinners just in case you run into a hatch.

The Spring Creeks are a great option whenever paradise valley is not crazy windy. There has not been much for dry fly action recently but the midges should be coming in a few weeks or so. The BWO's won't be far behind. For best success use flies such as WD-40, RS2s, Zebra Midges, Manhattan Midge, Tube Midge, Jujubee Flash Midge, sowbugs/scuds, worms, and caddis larva. Long leaders and light tippet in Fluorocarbon can be a game changer for these fish, make sure you are well equipped to get technical on these trout if headed this way.
