Fins & Feathers COVID-19 Update

We wanted to give you some information about our planned response to the potential impacts of COVID-19 on our specialty retail store and guided fly-fishing services in Bozeman. Last night, the first 4 cases of individuals testing positive for COVID-19 in Montana were announced. Like much of the country, our grocery store shelves are clearing quickly with many of the essentials completely disappearing the last few days. We are monitoring events closely in terms of recommended responses to the situation form state and federal agencies to help ensure the well being of our employees and customers.

Our Fly Shop

Currently, our fly shop is open for business as usual 8:30am-5:30pm, 7 days a week. We have asked our employees to stay home if they are sick and have come up with opportunities for them to work remotely to offset lost wages. We will be emphasizing proper sanitation in the store including cleaning and disinfecting contact surfaces often throughout the day.

For our safety, and that of other customers in the store, please avoid our fly shop if you are ill – we provide free ground shipping to anywhere in the lower 48 for online purchases over $50 – this includes Bozeman. Also, we offer free in-store pickup with online purchases and will work with our customers to make products available for pickup while avoiding contact during regular business hours.

Guided Services

Our guided services and travel to Bozeman generally becomes significantly busier in mid-June. Conventional wisdom says that we should be through the worst by then in terms of new instances of COVID-19.

Our everyday cancellation policy allows for a full refund of deposits with 14 days advance notice. We will certainly honor this policy on all reservations for the 2020 season, regardless of when the reservation was originally placed. Additionally, we will work with anyone affected by unexpected travel bans, quarantines, and travel challenges that arise in the coming weeks on a case by case basis when disruption occur within 2 weeks of the reservation.
