Float and Wade on the Upper Madison River
A couple of us from the shop headed to the Upper Madison River this Friday for a little float before the closures at the end of the month. The nymphing was good but not a ton of midges on the surface for any dry fly opportunities. A stonefly with a small mayfly off the back seemed to be the best rig of the day, fished on the edge of the fast water at the top of the buckets. Lots of fish and lots of snow made for a nice winter float!
