Flying Ant Season is Nearing

We are starting to hear reports that there are lots of flying ants around Hebgen Lake. Haven’t heard much from the Upper Madison area but if they aren’t there yet they should be soon. This is an awesome “hatch” to fish this time of year when we have a lull in some of the other insects. In can get downright nutty in the upper section of the river below Quake Lake when they really get going. Something to keep in mind if you’re looking for somewhere to fish in the next few weeks.
