Foul Weather = Good Fishing
The Madison River has been fishing great this past week with all the rainy, overcast weather. There has been good hatches of caddis and pmd’s on the Lower Madison. The dry fly fishing has been best when the clouds are thick. Nymph rigs have been working really well the rest of the time. Not much for dry flies on the Upper Madison yet, but nymph fishing has remained consistent.
Here are a couple of pics from this weekend.
Bayley Phillips with one of many he caught from the Lower Madison on only his second day fly fishing.
Mitch Maliske on his first day ever fly fishing cleaned up the on the Upper Madison.
