Fridays Fish for August 16

It’s starting to feel like fall in the mornings…but that goes away about 1:30 in the afternoon as the temperature has been soaring into the 90’s! Fishing has been very good this week though with nymphing the typical stonefly and little nymph dropper rigs early, followed by a variety of hopper patterns late morning. Tricos are around on the lower Yellowstone and there is even a decent streamer bite early in the day. Things are kind of quiet out there right now so get out on the water and enjoy some of this fantastic Montana summer fishing before we are talking about eggs and midges!
