The upper Zhupanova river float offers a truly remote and untouched fishing experience. Very similar to the Sedanka float trip, anglers cover roughly 60 miles of river in a span of 6 days. The float is fully guided with each camp set up and ready for your arrival each day. All you have to do is get settled into your double bunk cabin and relax. Hot showers, and flushing toilets are available at each camp with sleeping pads provided in each cabin. You do need to bring your own sleeping bag and shower towel. The upper Zhupanova starts out very small with walk and wade techniques the main method of fishing. Mouse patterns can be used anytime of the day with large streamers always producing healthy and hardy rainbow trout. After the second day, the river begins to widen and fishing is mostly done from the rafts allowing you to reach areas where rainbows averaging between 24-30 inches in size live. Super Kundzha are predominant in this river during late July and August with opportunities at fish in excess of 30 inches in size common. The fishing is incredibly involved and anglers fish hard each day using sink tips and typically have an extra rod set up with a floating line and mouse in case they get into some mousy water. The food is the best you could ask for in Kamchatka. Hot cereals, fruit, and eggs are prepared each morning with lunch prepared for you while on the river. Dinner consists of typical Russian cuisines including soups, salads and pork, beef or chicken.
