Madison River Survey Now Available
As the crowding controversy on the Madison River continues, this week Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks released a survey to the public regarding ways to deal with overcrowding on the river. Seeking public opinions include a few topics, commercial fishing outfitters, social conflict and angler use on the upper river, and recreation on the lower river. The survey asks respondents to rate several possible options for each of these topics.
This survey will be available until January 6th. After reviewing the results, FWP intends on releasing a new proposal in February, followed by a period of public comment if the plan is accepted and a full recreation plan likely taking effect in 2021.
