Patagonia River Salt Wading Boot
I have spent the past few days wading around in the River Salt boot (built by danner) and have been beyond impressed. I know these boots were not designed to wear over waders but I was intrigued by the quick lace up system and how incredibly lightweight this boot felt compared to the Foot Tractor. I have not been dissappointed yet. Without even screwing in the included studs the traction and stability I have been able to obtain on smooth slick rocks is shocking.
Ankle support was one thing I was concerned about with how thin the material on the upper feels but to my surprise both the support and my range of motion increased from my previous wading boots. Very quick drying and draining are great features for stepping in and out of the drift boat and will make long hikes to and from fishing spots a non-issue. This boot feels more like a hiking boot than a wading boot which I personally have found as a huge bonus. With the possibility to be rebuilt (if necessary) this boot made in Portland, Oregon is absolutely worth the investment for those looking for a reliable salt, wet, or even over wader wading boot.

I have been testing the new Patagonia Swiftcurrent waders (coming this fall) with these boots so be prepared for a review in the next few days!
