Sage Foundation: USA Made Affordable

The Sage Foundation is the least expensive USA made fly rod that is by no means slacking in performance. It sets the bar for fly fishing sticks made in the United States and it sets the bar very high. Both accuracy and power casting come with ease. Accuracy at close range is very consistent and impressive for the price of the rod. I found it to outperform even some of the rods in the $400+ price range. My only significant critique is the lack of feel and feedback that you receive with the Foundation. For only $350 an angler can’t complain about this affordable fly rod made in Bainbridge Island, Washington. Great for streamer fishing, throwing big and heavy nymph rigs and even dry fly fishing this rod can get it done! Make it a full outfit with a Spectrum C, Rio Gold fly line, and a leader for only $575 this is a deal that can’t be beat. All Sage rods also include a lifetime warranty!
