Tenkara Guide Trips

Yes it’s true! We are now offering guided trips that are geared towards the enthusiast or interested Tenkara angler. The Tenkara style of fly-fishing is close to us here at Fins & Feathers and we are eager to share our passion for this form of fly-fishing with folks here in SW Montana. Our focus is more on a “modified” version of Tenkara fishing that is more suitable to fishing the larger rivers and streams that we guide and fish everyday.

Although challenging and sometimes very interesting, a typical day of Tenkara fishing with our guides is usually a combination of both float and wade fishing opportunities. These trips are a great way for the experienced Tenkara angler to target larger fish than one normally finds in typical “Tenkara” water. If you are just getting into Tenkara, a day with one of our guides is a great way to learn the basics of everything from traditional Tenkara fishing to western trout fishing with a Tenkara outfit.
