YNP Report 7/13/2021

    Current Conditions

YNP is fishing really well right now. All of the rivers have shaped up and fish have been very willing to crush dry flies. The Firehole is pretty warm so it would be good to fish it early if you fish it at all. Dry fly fishing with Chubby's and other attractor patterns has been awesome when fish aren't keyed in on anything specific. Put a dropper on behind your dry fly to increase success! Both the Gardner and Lamar are looking great and fishing well. The Madison is getting hot by the end of the day near West. Fish it early or hit a different body of water. If you are struggling, the trusty Pat's Rubberlegs or Prince Nymph will get the job done. Find the best dry fly fishing on the West side of the park as of now. Tight lines! Yellowstone Lake area doesn't open until July 15th.

The Park is closed to fishing for the season. Get out there next year!

Remember to pinch barbs and no lead in Yellowstone National Park.
