With a powerful inline, Carbon®-to-stainless, stacked disc drag that can hold its own with high-performance machined reels, the new Clearwater Large Arbor is easily converted to either left- or right-hand retrieve and has a positive click drag knob for consistent settings every time. Care & Maintenance

Your new Clearwater Large Arbor reel has been properly lubricated prior to shipping. However, it should be cleaned and lubricated after extensive use or after contact with
dirt or sand. Your reel should receive routine cleaning and maintenance at least twice each year. Lightly lubricate all moving components—handle, center spindle, and gear shaft with Penn reel lube, which is available in tackle shops. Do not put the reel away wet, or into a wet reel case or tackle box. For extended storage, remove both line and backing and loosen the drag. Learn more about the Orvis Clearwater Reel.

REEL REPAIR

We warranty our reels against defects in materials and workmanship. The Orvis lifetime warranty does not cover accidental breakage, breakage from abuse, or excessive wear and tear. Send your reel to Orvis for evaluation. You will be charged a $30 (£20) fee for reel service, which includes cleaning, lubrication, and return shipping. For reels repaired for defects in material or workmanship, you will not be charged.
